I am now packed, ready and about to board my flight from Calgary to London Heathrow, and then on to Edinburgh, Scotland.
So excited for this adventure!
I am participating in a retreat, described as, “A Spirit And Nature Quest - Discovering Ancient Wisdom In Neolithic Scotland”. I will be heading to the Orkney Islands to meet with an author, speaker, environmentalist, mentor... Catriona MacGregor. She will be hosting this amazing quest.
In preparation for this retreat, I have just read Catriona’s book entitled, “Partnering With Nature - The Wild Path To Reconnecting With The Earth”. It is so insightful, provocative and powerful! A must read...over and over! Very inspiring! I highly recommend that you pick it up and make it part of your library!
According to the quote on the back cover of this book (published by Simon and Schuster),
“Catriona MacGregor is a catalyst for positive change and an authority on global environmental trends. For over twenty years, she has led and supported conservation initiatives and environmental programs in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and the United States and is the founder of Awen Grove, dedicated to bringing the wisdom and inspiration of nature into people’s daily lives.
Catriona has led national and international environmental programs for over a decade. She managed an international grant program providing conservation grants to over 200 organizations and scientists in China, Russia and Japan. She hosted an international conference to address the deteriorating health of the Bering Sea - “Sustaining the Bering Sea: An International Conference for Collaboration”. The conference was attended by hundreds of policy leaders, scientists, local fishermen, NGO leaders, and indigenous leaders from five countries with a stake in managing one of the most productive fisheries in the world. Catriona founded the International Bering Sea Forum, a public-private partnership and a diverse international coalition seeking protection of marine species and promoting the sustainable livelihood of coastal communities, indigenous communities and local family fishermen.”

I am in really great hands to learn so much about this area and its history, deep seeded spirituality and the phenomenal natural world.
I can't wait to see monolithic and neolithic ruins dating back over 6,000 years - older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids.
At this point I cannot pinpoint exactly what I am questing after, but I just know that I have been led to this adventure for some great reason. And it has been my experience, when I feel these calls upon my life, that I need to stop questioning, to just listen and obey the call.
I am looking forward to telling you all about it soon! Stay tuned!
Cheers, Jae
